John, 13, Leicester

Excuse the fact that I look like I was being posy.
I actually wasn't.

Can you believe he's only 13? An incredibly sophisticated look for someone who's barely scraping teenage, if you ask me. The way he oozes retro vibes makes me love him even more. At this point, I do wish to point out that he is in fact my little brother. See the family resemblance?

Ok, so it's a bad photo.
You'll have to take my word for it.

Anyway, as it is about -3°c in Leicester today, one simply must wrap up warm due to the possibility of limb loss through frost bite. I love the cut of John's coat as it is flattering as well as a timeless classic and warm. He reminds me of a 1960's Mod here actually, which is a good thing by the way. I like the pinks and purples in his scarf too as it injects a bit of interesting colour into his otherwise monochrome outfit. I think the fact that he isn't afraid to wear pink is good as it shows that he isn't troubled by what people might think. This, ladies and gents, is the key to fashion. I have seen many people in my time that are brave with their appearance and the outcome is almost always fantastic. This is also shown with his hair (which is ridiculously similar to mine). Bowl cut? No. Work of art? I think so.
Houndstooth Check Trouser.
Brilliant.
Moving on. Simply by adding even a small pattern to one's attire, you can really make it your own and look different to the crowd. Smart trousers also give the outfit an alternative, classy feel to jeans, yet not always better I must say. Classy providing that they are not teamed with trainers that is. Anyone who's reading this and thinking to themselves 'Well, I do that'...Don't.  Just don't. Thankfully, John has invested in a  pair of beautiful, smart vintage shoes and I think that they just round the whole thing off nicely. Along with his glasses that is. Just for the record, they are his actual glasses.
